Colophon
I put the town together from memory, not to scale. The buildings stand for systems I built; the people, vehicles and their statuses are illustrative. The facts are from my CV.
- Before and after
- The switch in the header flips the whole town between the business as I found it and after my systems, and the buildings’ names and descriptions change with it. The before-state names describe the manual work, not measurements: “six logins” is an illustrative six, and “all over the code” stands for no particular count.
- Place notes (A2)
- The landmarks are real Ostrava places, placed on a plausible plan: the Ostravice runs north to south, Vítkovice is south, Poruba west, Jih south-east, Ema east of the river. Their descriptions are short notes from memory, not a guide.
- Actors (A3)
- Every person and vehicle is illustrative. Queue lengths, waiting times, key counts and tram delays are seeded numbers that show the shape of the problem, not measurements.
- What is composed
- Positions and distances, the tram tunnel under Ema, the line numbers and the bus route are invented for the picture. The nineteen flags on the call centre are generic two-band flags, not national ones; the fourteen carrier vans use made-up colours.
- Time of day
- The live town follows the Ostrava clock: dark at night, light by day, as it is outside. On the full map a slider in the top right corner moves the hour, and “Now” brings it back. The flat drawing (the poster, the figure on this page, the share image and the version without 3D) is always the night one.
- Facts
- Every business number on the page (markets, orders, revenue growth, carriers, providers, languages) comes from my CV; the Eisnest Manufactory (my agentic webmaster platform) from my own project notes.
- Fonts
- Tektur for the signs, headings and the departure board; Albert Sans for everything you read. Both cover Czech.
- How it was made
- One low-poly scene in three.js through react-three-fiber, lit by the hour of the Ostrava day and switched between before and after by a single value in its shaders, with bloom only on what glows, and a flat SVG twin from the same camera for the poster, this page and the share image. Scrolling flies the camera from building to building with GSAP ScrollTrigger and Lenis. No photos, no 3D models from elsewhere.
